Ceca proudly announces Eva Ebner as a recipient of a 2024 National Ceca Award!  Eva is a Resident Caregiver at Generations Senior Living of Strongsville, part of Generations Healthcare Management, a second-generation family owned and operated care facility located in Ohio that provides independent and assisted living to seniors.

Eva Ebner was recognized for her resilience, love, and unwavering dedication. She has won the hearts of residents, families, and staff and become more like family than just a care worker. Residents speak of her kindness, attentiveness, and the joy she brings to their lives. Whether it’s remembering how a resident likes their eggs, holding their hand through difficult moments, or creating personalized artwork for them, Eva goes above and beyond every day.

Eva came to Generations Senior Living in August of 2023 with very little healthcare experience but with a heart full of compassion. Born and raised in Venezuela, Eva faced immense hardships and relocated to the United States seeking a better life. Her positivity and genuine love for the residents shines through in everything she does, and her commitment is unwavering, even purchasing a scooter to get to and from work. Eva’s story is a testament to her strength and the profound impact she has on the Generations community.

Maureen Rizzo, Senior Executive Director at Generations Senior Living of Strongsville commented, “Eva’s unwavering compassion and tireless commitment to those in her care truly embody the spirit of caregiving. Eva’s recognition with the Ceca Award is a testament to the lives she has touched with kindness, grace, and empathy. We are incredibly proud to celebrate her well-deserved achievement.”

An award celebration took place on April 16 in the Strongsville care community where Eva was recognized by her team members, residents, families and other esteemed community members. As a National Ceca Award Honoree, Eva received a cash award of $2,500, along with an engraved commemorative trophy. Ceca President Nate Hamme presented the award to Eva along with leadership from Generations Senior Living and the Ohio Health Care Association.

Nate Hamme, President and Executive Director of Ceca Foundation, said, “Eva’s journey is inspiring, and her impact is immeasurable. She embodies the heart of caregiving, proving that true compassion knows no boundaries. We are honored to recognize her with this award for the dedication, empathy and skill she exhibits.” He added, “It is rewarding to see how meaningful recognition can connect people with the work they do each day. Ceca is proud to play a role in supporting and celebrating the dedicated individuals, like Eva, who make a real difference in people’s lives.”
