Ceca proudly announces Richard Williams as a recipient of a 2024 National Ceca Award! Richard is a Physical Therapy Assistant at Brookwood Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation, part of Palm Beach Healthcare Partners, and was recognized for his unyielding dedication to residents and skillful enthusiasm in his work. Known for his exceptional people skills, enthusiasm and positive attitude, Richard consistently goes above and beyond for residents and their families. His impact is evident in the heartfelt testimonials from residents. One resident expressed deep gratitude, saying Richard’s care and encouragement helped him regain strength and confidence in his own abilities again. Another resident, a former professor, praised his patience and ability to explain therapy in a way that made her feel comfortable and hopeful for the future. Richard’s reputation extends beyond his direct work—family members eagerly request his assistance for their loved ones. His kindness, expertise, and dedication make all the difference in the lives of those he serves, earning him this honor.

I can’t think of a more deserving caregiver to receive this award,” said Ashanti McGahee, Administrator at Brookwood Gardens.

An award celebration took take place on March 27 in the Brookwood Gardens care community where Richard was recognized by his team members, residents, families and other esteemed community members. As a National Ceca Award Honoree, Richard received a cash award of $2,500, along with an engraved commemorative trophy. Ceca President Nate Hamme presented the award to Richard along with leadership from Palm Beach Health Partners. Additional remarks were provided by Florida Health Care Association to round out the celebration.
