Ceca proudly announces Heather Hileman as a recipient of a 2025 National Ceca Award!  Heather is an LPN Shift Lead at Providence Place Senior Living of Dover—an assisted living community located in York, Pennsylvania.

Heather was recognized for consistently going above and beyond to improve the lives of residents and support her coworkers. One of many examples was when she designed and sewed custom chair-side bags so residents in wheelchairs could easily carry personal items around—a gift they truly cherish. She begins every day with a warm smile and is always ready to help, whether with care, paperwork, problem-solving, or simply being there when needed. Heather leads with compassion, stepping in without being asked to support her team and free up time for resident care. Her thoughtfulness shines through personal gestures, like creating a handmade quilt for a grieving resident, bringing comfort, dignity, and joy when it mattered most.

“We are so proud of Heather, a dedicated and caring member of our Dover team. I believe she is a wonderful choice for this award because she takes her commitment to our residents to heart, frequently going above and beyond expectations. Heather knows that her work can make a real difference in residents’ lives – and every day she does. She sets an incredible example for us all,” shared David Leader, President and CEO of Providence Place Senior Living.

“It’s a privilege to present this award to Heather in partnership with the Pennsylvania Health Care Association. Not only does Heather demonstrate exceptional clinical care, she finds ways to step beyond the bounds of her job title and take the residents’ whole well-being into consideration. We absolutely loved hearing about her making side bags for wheelchairs and a handmade quilt for a resident. Those acts of compassion are just as impactful in healthcare, and Ceca is proud to recognize Heather for the dedication, empathy and skill she exhibits,” said Nate Hamme, President and Executive Director of Ceca Foundation.

An award reception was held on March 18 at the Providence Place facility where Ceca President Nate Hamme presented the award to Heather along with leadership from Providence Place Senior Living and Pennsylvania Health Care Association, and staff and residents. Additionally, she received a cash award of $2,500 and an engraved commemorative trophy.
